Germany-Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt am Main

For reasons I shall not mention, we've been too busy for blogging. This resulted in a load of overdue pictures we'd like to share with our dear friends of the blog. Starting with this series of pictures of Frankfurt, where we ended up for reasons that I cannot recall.

The swan is more confortable than the dog. Tombstone of a knight (Lohengrin?) in the cathedral of Frankfurt

Beautiful set of statues in the cathedral

Marathon on a sunday morning

Pity I left my running shoes at home, or I just might have competed with these guys

Halloween, another American phenomenon gaining popularity
in other countries and muscling aside local customs

But what can you do?

Talking about American cultural franchises, here's
Occupy Frankfurt!
This guy never stopped talking, which seemed to please
his fellow protesters a great deal.

Quality of service was less than sketchy, though. The guy on the roof of
the Landrover summoned for beer and wurst in vain three times
in a row.

This guy we've seen a lot, lately. No matter what you think of the Occupy movement,
it's a pity they adopted the Guy Fawk mask, which to my knowledge was first used
by a rebelious movement in V for Vendetta, one of the worst British movies of the last
Decade.

These slaves in this picture just freed themselves and are busy celebrating
this joyful occasion, early on a sunday morning.
