Exercise outdoors

A typical chinese scene; a person practising Tai Chi in a space near the Giant Buddha of Leshian. All over the country, scenes like these can be observed, often with large collectives participating. Not only Tai Chi, but all kinds of physical exercise can be witnessed in streets and parks every day.Every morning at eight 'o clock the complete staff of this Chengdu hospital does some collective stretching to the sounds of a merry tune. One of the members of the Baskadiyarlar-team is a teacher who has secret fantasies of mass exercise on the school yard... What a nice start of the day this could be.
Many participants carefully hide their enthusiasm about this public display.

On the same square in Yuangyuan, each night several ethnic ensembles perform their dances.
