China-minorities

Modernization and globalisation eat away at distinct chinese features and replace them with what we see everywhere else already. However, peculiar and unique things can still be found.

A slowly disappearing minority is people in blue Mao suits and caps. The dress of choice of the early years after the revolution up to the 70's is being replaced by whatever H & M, Gap and Zara is having all other people in the world wear.
Except for these people, who still wear their ancient tribal suits, in Dali, Yunnan province. They also are unable to operate a radio!

Each night, members of the different tribes around Yuanyang, Yunnan province, assemble on the town square to perform their ancient tribal dances.

Capitalism also rooted in the tribes of Southern China.

But if you know the right tactics, you can still get nice things at a decent price.
