Casablanca is a modern city with the wide streets and modern buildings. Old French buildings are still very impressive. Altough the main attraction is huge Hasan II Mosque,strolling around the Old Medina is more appealing.
People generally talks in Arabic and French perfectly. In most of the shops they speak also English and sometimes Spanish. But you can communicate just with body language sometimes.
