Last Sunday in Amsterdam and 20 other cities in the Netherlands were kept car-free Sunday. This phenomenon namely started with the oil boycott against Holland in 1973-74. For 10 years "car-free Sunday" have been organised by environment organisations. That day also a parade was orginised which 200 economical vehicles took part.
There was an art market, there was music and dancing for every taste and there was discussions between local politicians.
